ABOUT US
The owner and founder of Equitable Riding Academy, Barry Sheppard, alongside his wife and manager, Marie Sheppard, moved to Springfield Farm with their family many years ago. It was rundown and stood dormant. But, with the help of many like-minded people, they revived the tired facilities and turned the farm into the thriving academy you see today.
Hidden in the Surrey Hills, the Equitable Riding Academy is home to over 20 horses, which roam amongst five paddocks, occupying 20 acres of land.
We offer a range of riding experiences on many different terrains, including an Olympic-sized training school, an all-weather gallop track, and hacking around the neighbouring countryside.
The riding academy is one of few in Surrey, offering equestrian experiences for all ages and abilities. Our advanced instructors carry a wide range of skills and achievements through teaching and competing professionally.
With over 50 years combined experience, no matter your background, our welcoming and friendly team will help you learn, grow and rediscover your love for riding.
